SPOOKLEWOOD PRESS RELEASE

SPOOKLEWOOD: South Inglewood Neighbors Host Expansive Halloween Block Party
Third Annual Free Event Brings Community Together for Safe, Spooky Fun
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NASHVILLE, TN – October 31, 2025: South Inglewood neighbors are joining forces to host SPOOKLEWOOD, a Halloween celebration that closes five streets to traffic for a free block party open to all, taking place October 31st from 4-8 PM. Formerly known as Jack-O-Litton, the event has rebranded to SPOOKLEWOOD in its third year, reflecting the event’s growth from a single street in 2023, gaining popularity as a fun Halloween tradition for the entire community.
Organized by residents in South Inglewood, SPOOKLEWOOD was initially created to address the absence of sidewalks and fast traffic in the area which inhibited trick-or-treaters from visiting the neighborhood on Halloween. What started as a simple idea for a small street party has expanded to a multi-block celebration spanning five roads in the area closed to traffic and open for Halloween fun. The event’s goal is to bring neighbors together for a magical night where families can enjoy worry-free trick-or-treating, games, music, plenty of spooky photo opportunities and activities. Whether rain or shine, the event is designed to foster connection and fun in a safe environment for all ages.
In collaboration with Faith And Wildflowers, a local non-profit dedicating to empowering and uplifting women, the event also features a haunted bus collecting clothing donations for women in underserved communities in East Nashville. Attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently used clothing to support neighbors in need, adding a heartwarming charitable aspect to the festivities.
This year’s SPOOKLEWOOD event is presented by Mourning Brew, a spooky-inspired gifts, goods and ideas store that opened in April 2025 at The Shoppes On Fatherland in East Nashville. Mourning Brew is thrilled to be a part of spearheading the organization of SPOOKLEWOOD with the neighborhood and shares the spirit of community that makes this event possible.
Celebrate Halloween with South Inglewood and experience a night where community - and a little spooky magic - take center stage.
